Casa Felipe Opens in Little Havana

Posted: Wednesday, September 03, 2008

By David Savona

Calle Ocho has a new place to enjoy a great cigar. Casa Felipe, a showcase store and lounge, opened Monday on 8th Street in Miami's historic Little Havana neighborhood. The combination cigar and wine store features a cigarmaker and a wide selection of Felipe Gregorio cigars.

The store was originally slated to open in February.

Casa Felipe is located at 900 SW 8th Street, between 9th and 10th avenues. Felipe Gregorio brand owner Philip Wynne decided to combine two of his passions: great cigars and fine wines, and have them available in one spot. Cigar lovers can smoke indoors or out, and enjoy a game of dominoes while puffing cigars or sipping wine. Or both.

For much more on the cigar scene on Calle Ocho, read Little Havana, from the February 2008 Cigar Aficionado.
